1. Is technology benifiting your lives if so how?


It facilitates communciations (email, VoIP, etc.) and research (google, etc.)





2. How is technology helping education?


by shortening the distance between student and teacher in remote spots. By placing books on the web, they can be accessed by more people, and for a longer period of time.


By being a repository for many of the things you need for school





3. How is technology helping medical research and development?


the ability to do remote medical operations in countries which do not have the medical staff (utilizes robotics)... increased communications between teams of doctors... stents... scopes... MRI .. CAT scans...





4. How is technology helping communication and other reasurch?


-- speeds never before seen across cable and DSL lines in private homes...


-- many people in India don't have land-line phones, but they do have cell phones...

-- it's not a matter of technology takingover ; it is a matter of people giving up to technology...

-- While technology promisses to do more for people as time goes on, what is the one constant we need to remember? It's that technology can only do man's thinking faster... not necessarily better... there's still the human interaction aspect which needs to be remembered and mastered w/o technology. After all... what can you do with technology during a power outage...?
