Found her wondering out in the cold so I took her in.

2.Do you think it is important that dogs and cats are spayed or neutered? Why or why not?

Yes , so there are less abandoned critters on the street.

3.If there was a big change in your life such as moving or having a baby, what would you do with your pet(s)?

I just moved .. I took her with me.

4.What is pet overpopulation?

more "product" than demand.

5.How often should pets go to a veterinarian?

a yearly check-up would be nice, but once every 5 years is reasonable.

6.Where is your area shelter or humane society?

1. We currently have three pets. Two Cats and a dog.

One of my cats was a rescue from mean neighborhood kids. The older one was birthed in my home by a stray and then the mother left. Our dog was given to us by non pet savvy neighbors. (gave her to us at like 31/2 weeks old. and not even weened yet!)

2. I feel very strongly that our pets should be spayed or neutered. This was a hard lesson for my 13 yr when we got the rescue kitten fixed, because she was days pregnant. Our belief is that we should not allow our animals to have litters if the babies are not of value and in demand, or simply not wanted. We do not add to the unwanted animals in this world.

3. If it came to moving, I would NOT move if I couldn't take my pets. Period. And if it came to another child in our home, I would teach my pets as well as my baby to get along with each other and to respect spaces.

4. Pet overpopulation is exactly as I was saying in Q #2. Being irresponsible pet owners who don't have their animals spayed or neutered and allow their pets to become pregnant with babies that are really not wanted by anyone, then end up in the ASPCA or pound. When ten pet owners allow unwanted litters and those ten litters equal 5 babies each, that's 50 pups or kittens who need loving homes. And those homes are simply not there.

5. I take my pets in for their shots regualraly. Otherwise I don't take them unless there is something wrong that needs checked. As a matter of fact, I would be a firm believer in adding pets onto your health insurance. They are huge parts of our lives why shouldn't we have health insurance on them too?!

6. Not sure if you need addresses. If so you can search them out. We have both a county animal shelter and an ASPCA located in our town of Bakersfield, CA
