Please answer the following questions honestly and completely.

1.If you currently have a pet how did you obtain it? If you currently do not have a pet or you wanted get another one, where would you go to get one?

My dog was a foundling, my fish %26amp; exotics were aquired at a pet store

2.Do you think it is important that dogs and cats are spayed or neutered? Why or why not?

Absolutely! in addition to the number of potential pets that have to be euthanized each year, I also feel that breeding indescriminately can also lead to animal neglect and abuse.

3.If there was a big change in your life such as moving or having a baby, what would you do with your pet(s)?

They have always come with me in the past and will contiune to come with me in the future.

4.What is pet overpopulation? Too many pets not enough pet lovers

5.How often should pets go to a veterinarian?

when ever they are ill and at least once a year for a well visit %26amp; vaccinations

6.Where is your area shelter or humane society? there are 6 in my county you can find their addresses at www.kyhumane.org

1.If you currently have a pet how did you obtain it?

Dog - pet shop (wasn't my idea)

Rainbow lorikeet, 2 cockatiels, parrot finches, zebra finch, quail - pet shop

2 Fish - pet shop

1 Cockatiel - found on a road being hit by cars (couldn't find owners)

Quail, zebra finches - bred from my own birds

Turquoise parrot, bourke's parrot - breeders from annual bird sale

Dove - rescued from person who bought it for a 10 min thing and kept it in his bathroom

2.Do you think it is important that dogs and cats are spayed or neutered?

Yes, the amount of unwanted pets is horrible, it doesn't need to be added to

3.If there was a big change in your life such as moving or having a baby, what would you do with your pet(s)?

I couldn't for the life of me imagine giving up any of my pets, ever. No matter what, they will continue getting the attention and love they deserve. They are all my children. :)

4.What is pet overpopulation?

Too many pets and not enough owners for them all? Or too many unwanted pets, resulting in masses of them being culled.

5.How often should pets go to a veterinarian?

At least once a year for an annual check up. Whenever they need to be groomed by an experienced person (might be once or twice a year or less). And whenever they are sick. I don't care if it's a $5 quail, it deserves the right treatment and care as any other individual

6.Where is your area shelter or humane society?

Geelong RSPCA

316 Pakington Street

Geelong, Vic 3220 Australia

Which is a bit of a drive, but not too much

I think. o.O

Please answer the following questions honestly and completely.

1.If you currently have a pet how did you obtain it? If you currently do not have a pet or you wanted get another one, where would you go to get one?

I currently own a pug who I adopted from my local shelter %26amp; a goldfish that we bought from Meijer

2.Do you think it is important that dogs and cats are spayed or neutered? Why or why not?

Yes I do...if you are not going to professionally %26amp; responsibly breed your dog for the betterment of the breed then you need to spay %26amp; neuter. Couple reasons, 1) they dont go thru life being sexually frustrated (and I do believer they do I mean how would you like to be horny %26amp; NEVER got to get any) 2) spaying %26amp; neutering is proven to help prevent future health problems 3) the world REALLY doesnt need a bunch of unwanted puppies %26amp; kittes running around to die of starvation, disease, car accidents, cruelty %26amp; other fates that fall upon uncared for animals 4) they are animals NOT MONEY MAKERS treat them as such %26amp; also altering your pet can prevent %26amp; change undesirable behaviors such as aggressiveness %26amp; hunching

All in all makes for happier pets %26amp; people who luv them

3.If there was a big change in your life such as moving or having a baby, what would you do with your pet(s)?

Take them with me of course....I had friends keep my cats in FL when I moved back to Michigan %26amp; then had them brought to me

4.What is pet overpopulation?

Same as overpopulation for anything too many animals fro the place they are inhabitating. this is caused a lot by animals being allowed to run stray due to no one to home %26amp; care for them %26amp; allowing them to reproduce uncontrolled %26amp; make hundres %26amp; thousands of babies with not enought people to care for them

5.How often should pets go to a veterinarian?

at least once a year depending on the individual pet

6.Where is your area shelter or humane society?

Durham Rd , runs behind the jail %26amp; courthouse a street or 2 down from all the government aid buildings

1.from pet breeder

2.Extrememly important. Too many unwanted animals and they starve to death in the wild or get eaten by other animals.

3.I would keep the pet. It is a lifelong commitment not to be taken lightly.

4. Too many unwanted pets.

5. At least once a year.

6.Don't know what this means. If a state, in SC.

1. In total I have five animals; I obtained three of my animals from rescue organizations, my other two animals were left behind by two families when they moved.

2. I do think it is extremely important that dogs and cats be spayed/neutered. Most shelters and rescue organizations are absolutely packed with homeless animals, some products of unwanted pregnancies.

3. If I moved I would take my pets with me; a pet-friendly home is a priority for me. As for having a baby, I don't see why I wouldn't keep them, I don't own any animals that would be potentially dangerous to children.

4. In layman's terms, pet overpopulation means there are more animals than there are homes for.

5. There are far too many pets to answer this question intelligently. There are some wild animals that will never need to see the vet - most invertebrates, amphibians, fish, and reptiles - and there are animals that need to go to the vets AT LEAST once or twice a year, such as dogs and cats.

6. I live in Massachusetts so we have MSPCAs in Boston, Centerville, Methuen, Edgartown, Brockton, Nantucket, and Springfield. We have no shelters in my town and I am not familiar with any shelters outside of my town.

I have 2 Chinese Crested dogs, 2 cats, and a hedgehog. My first dog was purchased from a reputable breeder, my other dog was adopted from a friend who could no longer keep her die to divorce, my cats were both found cats, no one claimed them, so they stayed. Hedgehog also came from the friend who went thru divorce.

2.Do you think it is important that dogs and cats are spayed or neutered? Why or why not?

Yes. It reduces the risk of certain cancers, it prevents serious uterine infections, helps curb behavoirs like humping and marking, helps curb aggression, helps curb roaming.. prevents unwanted litters.

3.If there was a big change in your life such as moving or having a baby, what would you do with your pet(s)?

my pets stay

4.What is pet overpopulation?

There are more pets than homes.

5.How often should pets go to a veterinarian?

puppies/kittens should see the vet every few weeks for vaccinations.

young healthy adults every year for vaccine and check up

older pets and pets with health problems such as diabetes should be seen more often. every 6 months or more.

Breeding females should be seen before breeding, and many times during pregnancy and while nursing.

All pets should see the vet when sick or injured.

1 - 3 cats and 2 dogs. 1 cat-stray, 2 cats-purchased from breeder. 1 dog-obtained from shelter, 1 dog-purchased from breeder

2 - I believe it is very important that cats and dogs be spayed and neutered. There are more than enough unwanted pets in our shelters that are put to sleep on a daily basis.

3 - I have had big changes in our life, moves, having a baby, etc. Our pets are part of our family and moved with us and were introduced to our baby as part of the family.

4 - Goes hand in hand with question #2, people don't spay or neuter their pets and unwanted pups and kittens end up in our shelters.

5 - Once a year for their vaccinations and whenever they contract and illness or injury that requires vet intervention.

6 - I'm not sure how to answer this question as you don't know where I live. But the County Animal Shelter is on Griswold Road in Port Huron Township and the Humane Society is on Lapeer Road in Goodells. They are about 7 miles and 10 miles from my home respectfully.

1. Dog: cruel breeder who operated illegally. He was abused and neglected. Ball python: took in for free when kid at my college didn't want him anymore. The snake was in horrible conditions and poor health. (family has siberian dwarf hamster from petshop and fish from pet shops) If you can get an animal from a breeder or a rescue, do that instead. Petstores have no guarentees about where their animals come from and often have no idea what they're talking about.

2. Yes! Every day animals are dumped on the side of the highway and on the steps of the shelters because someone was fed up with the number of kittens/puppies. If you don't neuter your animal, you're not helping the situation.

3. We've moved. Keep our pets. If I ever move out of state, my ball python's coming with me. (dog is family's) I hate kids and have NO intentions of ever having any, so that solves that problem! ^^

4. When there are so many domesticated animals and not enough homes for them. Seven or so years back there was a study that said for every animal in a shelter to have a home, each INDIVIDUAL PERSON in the US would need to own 20 animals. That, my friend, is pet overpopulation. (and it's gotten worse, I might add!)

5. It depends on the type of pet. Most do well with every six months for a check up. Of course, if there are ANY problems concerning you're pet's health, instead of logging onto YA like a lot of ****ing ***holes do, you should take the animal to the vet.

6. About 3 miles from my house. There's an SPCA center less than a mile away from me too. ^.^ Go rescue groups!

I liked this question! XD

How do i get rid of this computer virus?
