Survey - Would you agree with the following Ya-hoo changes?

1. Q/A will not receive an automatic violation for only 1 report. If a statement is a true violation, more than one person will report it. This will reduce haters.

2. If a violation is received, Community Service will provide a brief explanation. A link to the community guide is often unhelpful.

3. A person receiving a violation (offender) will be able to see who reported them (reporter) to give them an opportunity to block that user. Using the reporting fuction will automatically block the offender. If the reporter wishes to unblock, they could do so manually. This way, the offender can block the reporter so they will no longer be offended.

4. No reporting ability at level 1.

5. No 360 avatars at level 1. This will keep the porno avatars to a minimum.

Any other items you think might be helpful? I know there are some downsides to these suggestions, but I believe the upside outweighs them. Your thoughts?

Survey - Would you agree with the following Ya-hoo changes?
i think those are great suggestions.

re: 3) many people will not report violations if others could see who's doing it, it would cut the amount of violation reports for little or no reason.
Reply:all sounds good but number 3 could be used against you in retaliation, soo...
Reply:first one must consider that Yahoo's mechanics work in a reasonable way...no wait, that's logic and ' Y ' understands nothing with logic
Reply:agreed.
Reply:Very Nice.

2) love it

3) don't like it, because I had an extremely scary stalker in alternative health

4) don't like it, elitist

5) don't like it, exclusionary

other) a real person at Y!/A (even if only a number, so they can be accountable and so that follow up is possible
Reply:Sounds good to me. I'm glad you have come out of hiding!!
Reply:Yay! your back! add me too your conacts : ) and yes I would agree this is my 5th yahoo account highest level is lvl 4!!!
Reply:You certainly hit the head of the nail when you said no reporting abililty at level 1. If you go into the profiles of all the outrageous questions they all are level 1's. Glad to see you back. Hey, I can cook. I'm certainly over 21!
Reply:I like 1, 2, 4, 5. I would also like 3, but that could be used as a weapon for the trolls.
Reply:Sounds great. I love it.

But I doubt Y!A will go along with it.
Reply:All except for the part where people will find out who reported them. That might encourage some trolls to go after people and try to get them suspended. Otherwise awesome ideas esp. 4 %26amp; 5!
Reply:sounds like a plan
Reply:YOU ARE SO RIGHT, I"M GLAD TO SEE YOU TODAY! {I got hit too from someone that is level one 1}
Reply:i thank i found the person that reported you
Reply:i think i'll agree with 1 %26amp; 2 only.
Reply:I agree. It will help keep the trolls and haters from kicking off people for no reason at all. Yes, I am bitter. This is my 4th account. lol
Reply:Yes I agree. How can we get this enforced?
Reply:1. Yes, I wish they would implement this. The only problem is, we do have groups of people who will ask their buddy to report as well.

2. They do send a link to TOS. CS cannot send an explanation because that would require too much manpower.

3. They would never implement being able to see who reported. It would cause all sorts of problems and retaliation, though I DO think your idea about the automatic block is an excellent one.

4. I've been yelling this one for over a year now, though no one from the great yahoo in the sky seems to be listening.

5. I hadn't thought of this one, but it is an awesome idea. The only problems with 4 and 5 are a person can be "good" for what, a day? Isn't that about how long it takes to reach level 2? Then go on about their childish ways.

Been to the forum lately? Go there. It's a real eye opener. You'll soon find out that Yahoo really doen't care. I think they're just in it for the money.
Reply:Got my vote

Another suggestion : Trolls often have more than one account so a peer review category If a question is reported we get to vote if the community thinks it is a violation grave enough to require suspension then we say so.
Reply:Mr. Dude, good to see you back today! I agree wholeheartedly! Rock on!
Reply:Food Dude for President!
Reply:i am really fond of number 2.

(ha ha) seriously though, that's the biggie.
Reply:I agree with your suggestions 100% - but Y!A never will, because your suggestions make perfect sense.
Reply:Good to see you.I totally agree.
Reply:Yippee

You came back. I thought you were done after Yesterday.

I agree or we could wait till september and not worry as much.
Reply:Glad to see you put a lot of thought into this. I like it. Especially #'s 4 %26amp; 5.
Reply:those aound heavenly, but i dont really agree with # three
Reply:I surely do.
Reply:BRILLIANT!!!
