Reply:i think graffitti is a form of art, sometimes it is a problem in our communities depends on what you call graffitti, some people "tag" or write to represent gangs or a form of vandalism, that it why it is not accepted in out communities, some artist ask before doing murals or "pieces on neighborhood walls, others like gangs use it to to mark their territory, or get know which is what graffiti artist do but they do it with a better fashion sence, in other words know how to draw and might do murals or designs not just any writting. and yes vandalism is a problem in all schools, i personally have not done any form of graffiti but know various people who have and are talented. i think that covering it is a waste of time sooner or later people are bound to write again, i think that they should remove it by letting people do a mural on walls. its better than seeing different blobs of paint of everytime someone covered grarffiti. most graffiti artist write as a form to get noticed, the more you write your name or groups name and in the most unexpected parts and ways the more popular they become. and no my school doesnt really care about graffiti they might cover it up now and then and that just makes it worse, seeing brown blobs of paint in the walls, i think that the school would look much better with out graffiti but there is no way of removing it completely unless you educate the students on how grafiti is seen as a form of art and use it for the schools convenience (e.g) murals, paintings, art projects. etc.)

Reply:1. Anyone who thinks graffiti is a good thing should visit East Berlin where everything is absolutely covered.

To me, the pyschology of graffiti is inherently selfish, and I cannot understand why anyone who isn't a tagger himself would support it.

The idea is: Find something that belongs to another person or to the community as a whole and mark it with my own identity. It almost seems like theft to me... It says, My interests come before those of anyone else.

2. Chicago Spends a lot of money every year on cleaning up Graffiti. This money could be spent on social programs that make the city a better place. It's a crime and it's a problem.

3, 7, 8. I'm not a student

4. I carved a heart in a wooden bridge when I was like 12. And yes, it was selfish and I should have known better.

5. Yes.

6. The Will to Power, Selfishness, Lack of respect for others.
