it's a school project and i wanna do a few surveys too. i'm gonna divide iti nto two sections how the urban community sees it and how a person living in a village looks at this issue.
How do i start my project on the idea the society of my country has about individual appearance?
You generally cannot trust survey information regarding such loaded topics as appearances. Most people want to think of themselves as not being all that affected by how people look, so they will answer your questions in a manner that does not reflect how they act.
Previous studies regarding appearances have generally had to be sneaky about it. For example, one study involved holding mock malpractice trials, with the plaintiffs either being ugly or attractive. The attractive ones ended up being awarded over three times as much money.
