Can you buy a drug sniffing dog?

I might want to buy a drug snifing dog to rid my local community of marijuana. I was just wondering if that is legal. I have seen what marijuana dependency does to my former friends and generally my peers. I think that a higher percentage of individuals have tried marijuana than nationwide surveys show. Because of this i want get rid of the drug.

You sure can, any dog can be a drug sniffing dog. they just have to be trained. Get it addicted to weed and it will search the neighborhood high and low to get it.

Reply:Believe me, you'll never get rid of marijuana. The cops can't, what makes you think you can?





BUT, if you feel so inclined to try, be my guest. But you can only search people's houses or cars if you have a search warrant, which I doubt a civilian could get. And I highly doubt you are able to arrest anyone.





So yeah, all you need to do is train a dog to locate drugs. I hear it takes a while.

Reply:Ridding the world of marijuana wouldn't necessarily be a good thing. I do know that it causes problems but there are also people who need it for cancer treatment. I don't know what state that you live in but there are some states that have legalized medical marijuana. It has qualities that no other drug does and these people desperately need it. You want your dog to go ripping into some poor person's house, have you yell at them for something that really isn't any of your business, even though your heart is in the right place? Please, leave this to the pros. You will just get yourself or some innocent person hurt...
Reply:My best friend's dad is a K-9 unit cop. His German Shepard costs about $25,000. Not sure if it's legal or not... but it's one expensive dog!
