1. Prohibition is classically referred to as the period in the 1920s/30s when the distribution and transportation of alcohol across state lines was made illegal by constitutional amendment. It ended witht he passage of the 21st Amendment.

In the USA, individual states and jurisdictions within the individual states may still prohibit commerce in alcohol.

3. we SHOULD ban alcohol. not only does this substance cause liver problems but being drunk is also a problem because violence and accidents can happen when people are intoxicated. in the beginning, alcohol was banned, especially on Sunday's because of church. the sale of alcohol began when the government realized that they could make money by taxing alcohol.


4. cigarettes are also bad. people who smoke it have a higher risk of contracting lung cancer. people around smokers can also be affected with cancer. birth defects may happen if a smoker is around a pregnant woman. it causes people to spit all over public places. people also dump ash and the cigarette butt all over public areas.


5. don't legalize Marijuana. although it has medicinal purposes to relieve pain, the effects of marijuana is still not good to the person smoking it. and a lot of people are illegally overdosing on the drug anyway.

5. Slippery slope. Maybe, but I'm not sure if it really is a good idea. If I absolutely had to choose, then I would say yes. Mostly because it does NOT cause physical dependence and withdrawal symptoms (like cocaine, heroine, etc.)
